central nervous system and peripheral nervous system

The most critical detail about the nervous system is that it is your body’s master command center. It processes sensory information and directs responses in milliseconds.

It is divided into two main parts:

Central Nervous System (CNS): The brain and spinal cord, which act as the main processing unit.

Peripheral Nervous System (PNS): The vast network of nerves that connect the CNS to every muscle, organ, and skin cell.

Through an intricate network of billions of neurons, it constantly transmits electrochemical signals to regulate everything from conscious thoughts and movements to unconscious survival functions like your heartbeat and digestion.
